TCLL Track Rules

  • The League will conduct as many League relay meets as necessary to allow for sufficient participation for all league schools.
  • League relay meets shall have separate “A” and “B” versions of each event.
  • All events at League relay meets are co-ed (the same number of boys as girls on each relay team).
  • A “B” athlete may be part of an “A” relay team so long as that athlete was not part of a “B” relay team in the same event.
  • League schools may participate in only one of the available League relay meets each spring.
  • Unless stated otherwise, League relay meets follow the rules of the Michigan Lutheran Regional and State Track Meets (available from the Michigan District website, under “Schools,” then “Athletics”).
  • Athletes should wear undergarments that are the same color as the dominant color of the uniform.
  • As of June 2011, both members of a high jump relay team must make the starting height in order for the team to earn a medal or ribbon.
  • As of February 2012, the starting high jump height is 3-6 for “B” and 3-8 for “A” for League Relays.
  • As of February 2012, each school may have up to three relay teams in each class for each event.
